Orkestar Baxtalo, the copenhagen gypsies, a bunch of virtous buffouns, hoppalongs, luxury hoboes, screaming fools and ghostbusters, - joined together in a band to seduce, bewitch, scream and shout and throw a party.
The band is focused in the Romanian lautari-style gypsimusic,
which reeks of mystery and madness, through the seranades and balkan tornados.
Orkestar Baxtalo (formed in marts 2008)takes over for The Trio Baxtalo, with super musicians from bands like Rusty Baathorns, Klepti klepti, Los Perros Verdes. The Baxies are ready to jump into the pot filled with that sloopy, filthy, melancholic soup called balkanmusic.
In 2008 the band has played 10 concerts in romania, 1 in Berlin and about 30 in Denmark and Sweden. Orkestar Baxtalo has released the EP “Giraffen” and was nominated as “world music track Year 2008″ in denmark. In March 2009 the orchestre goes to the studio to record an LP.
